India begins Lockdown 3.0, but with fewer restrictions.
The nationwide lockdown that began in India on 25th April 2020 now enters its third phase from 4th May 2020 for another 2 weeks. The mantra for this phase is to balance lives and livelihoods, and keeping this in mind, the lockdown comes with fewer restrictions and opening up of some economic activity.
India has been divided into red, orange and green zones depending on the number of coronavirus cases in a particular area. Air, rail and inter-State travel continue to stay suspended till 17th May 2020. Places of large gatherings like gyms, theatres, malls, bars, religious, social and political gatherings are to remain shut as well. All schools, colleges, training institutes, universities and hotels and restaurants, will also remain closed.
Resettle will commence operations in Delhi and Mumbai, as our consultants will be able to move about both cities in zones designated safe by the government. 33% of the staff shall be allowed to work from office. The remaining workforce shall be rotated and continue to work from home as before.
